Description
The Stevan B. Dana Project Grant Fund, established in 2021 and administered by the American Society of Overseas Research (ASOR), provides annual support for ASOR-affiliated archaeological excavation and field projects. It particularly supports newer and smaller projects getting started, as well as discrete components of larger projects that can be completed with an award.
Rather than funding an entire excavation, the program addresses defined project needs. Awards may support purchasing equipment, carrying out a smaller initiative, or undertaking off-season research and analysis. ASOR’s affiliated-project program supports archaeology and related research in the Middle East, North Africa, Eastern Mediterranean, and Western Asia.
