Description
Strategic Implementation Areas (SIAs) are agricultural areas in small Oregon watersheds selected for their connection to local water quality. The Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) leads SIA initiatives with local landowners and managers; the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board (OWEB) and ODA collaborate to fund work through OWEB’s grant system.
Technical assistance grants support landowner engagement, planning, design, and monitoring within SIAs. Restoration grants support projects addressing ecological and agricultural water quality issues identified through SIA assessments. The restoration offering is intended to help local partners put water quality improvements on the ground.
