    Description

The Early Career Research Grant Program is administered by the Strategy Research Foundation (SRF) of the Strategic Management Society (SMS). It supports early career strategy scholars advancing research in strategic management. Grants supplement other financial resources to improve research quality, expand a project's scope, strengthen its design, or otherwise enrich the work through direct research activities such as data collection and research assistance.

The program prioritizes projects capable of making new and substantial theoretical or empirical contributions to strategic management. Review considers the proposed frameworks, data, and potential results, alongside methodological rigor and the fit between research questions, data, and procedures. A central consideration is whether SRF support will significantly improve the project's quality, scope, or conceptual and empirical contribution. Funding supports future research rather than completed work or reimbursement of past expenditures.
