Description
The Strategic Site Readiness Program (SSRP) is administered by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) on behalf of the Michigan Strategic Fund (MSF). It supports strategic and mega-strategic sites across Michigan to build a statewide inventory of investment-ready properties and attract business investment and expansion. A mega-strategic site is a strategic site intended for large industrial use.
Assistance can support land acquisition and assembly, site preparation, infrastructure that directly benefits the site, building work, environmental remediation, and predevelopment work needed to begin improvements. It can also support a spending plan and proposal for capital investment in site readiness. The program provides grants and technical assistance to local economic development organizations creating inventories of development-ready sites using nationally recognized readiness criteria.
