This annual award, established through the generosity of Beverley O’Brien, recognizes and supports graduate students at the University of British Columbia (UBC) conducting research to strengthen mothers through woman-centered, holistic, and physiologic maternity care. The primary aim is to foster evidence-based research that contributes to the advancement and improvement of maternity care practices. While all UBC graduate students are eligible, there is a strong preference for midwives and nurses pursuing graduate work in this area.
