    Description

This opportunity funds a comprehensive initiative to strengthen the maritime legal capacity of the Philippine Office of the Solicitor General (OSG), Department of Justice (PDOJ), and other relevant agencies. The project aims to institutionalize specialized maritime legal expertise, enhance interagency legal coordination, and build in-house capacity for maritime law, UNCLOS, arbitration, and litigation strategy. Activities include technical training, legal advisory support, professional exchanges, development of training roadmaps, Training-of-Trainers frameworks, and creation of legal reference materials. The overarching goal is to enable Philippine institutions to independently manage complex maritime legal matters, reduce reliance on external counsel, and uphold rules-based maritime governance in the Indo-Pacific region.
