Description
This grant supports educational initiatives that address critical gaps in secondary stroke prevention, particularly those highlighting the limitations of current antithrombotic treatments and the residual risk of recurrent stroke. Priority is given to programs that educate healthcare professionals on the burden of secondary stroke, introduce FXIa inhibition as a new class of antithrombotic therapy, and review relevant evidence—especially data from the OCEANIC-STROKE trial. The goal is to foster awareness of evolving strategies in stroke prevention and the unique role of FXI in the coagulation cascade.
