Description
Stronger Neighborhoods is Baltimore Community Foundation’s discretionary grant program for community-first, resident-led neighborhood improvements. It supports locally led projects throughout Baltimore City and Baltimore County, developed with residents and organizations directly connected to the community. The program aims to strengthen communities’ ability to steward local assets, attract investment, and build connections and belonging.
Funding priorities encompass physical security, crime prevention, gun violence interventions, and traffic safety; responses to trash, dumping, vandalism, and pollution; plant life, sustainability, and urban agriculture; and amenities or activities that enrich neighborhood life. Supported work includes community cleanups, healing gardens, lighting improvements, and street safety and walkability projects. BCF prioritizes proposals demonstrating community-wide support and responding to residents’ expressed needs.
