Description
Baltimore Community Foundation (BCF) supports collaborative programs and projects that strengthen schools and neighborhoods throughout Baltimore City and Baltimore County. Stronger Schools focuses on kindergarten readiness, student mental health, and school climate and culture. Stronger Neighborhoods supports resident-led solutions that improve safety, cleanliness, greenery, and neighborhood vitality, including community amenities and activities.
The program emphasizes work driven by communities’ expressed needs and grounded in meaningful partnerships. School projects should reflect school leaders’ goals, while neighborhood projects should involve residents and organizations directly connected to the community. Proposals should clearly identify their intended impact and how success will be measured, using quantitative data and qualitative evidence such as observations and interviews. Funding is not limited to previously targeted neighborhoods or selected school communities.
