--- ## Description Stronger Neighborhoods Grants, offered by the Baltimore Community Foundation (BCF), fund programs and projects that empower Baltimore City and Baltimore County neighborhoods to become safer, cleaner, greener, and more vibrant. The grants are designed to support community-led and collaboratively developed initiatives that address local challenges and opportunities, with an emphasis on measurable impact and outcomes. Funding is available for a wide range of activities, from public safety improvements to environmental enhancements and community-building projects. Proposals must demonstrate strong resident involvement and community-wide support, with clear plans for tracking both quantitative and qualitative results. --- ## Due Dates - December 12, 2025 - April 8, 2026 - August 3, 2026 - September 23, 2026 All deadlines are for the Stronger Schools / Stronger Neighborhoods 2025–2026 cycle. --- ## Funding Amount - Typical grant awards are $20,000. - Smaller projects are often funded at $1,000–$5,000. - Multi-year funding is possible, depending on available resources and committee discretion. --- ## Eligibility - Applicants must be nonprofits with IRS 501(c)(3) status, or projects working with a qualified fiscal sponsor. - Projects must benefit residents of Baltimore City or Baltimore County (headquarters can be elsewhere). - Proposals must be collaboratively developed with and supported by local residents or organizations directly connected to the community. - BCF does not fund annual fund campaigns, religious/sectarian purposes, capital campaigns, individuals (except scholarships), or event sponsorships. - Single individuals or outside entities without resident support are not eligible. --- ## Application Process - Review the [Stronger Neighborhoods grant guidelines](https://www.bcf.org/stronger-neighborhoods/). - Draft your proposal using the [BCF Standard Grant Application Template (DOCX)](https://www.bcf.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/BCF-Standard-Grant-Application-2024-Version.docx). - Submit your application through the [GOapply online portal](https://goapply2.akoyago.com/bcf/application/sssn). All applicants, even returning ones, must create a new account in GOapply. - Required attachments include a project budget, latest IRS Form 990, key staff/board list, and (if applicable) fiscal sponsor support letter. - Proposals are reviewed for eligibility, and BCF may request additional information or a site visit.
