Description
The Stronger Together Fund is a giving initiative of the Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville supporting local nonprofit organizations that close opportunity gaps. Guided by the belief that “Common Good is Common Ground” and the foundation’s mission of mobilizing generosity, it combines support for organizations addressing inequities today with building an endowment to continue this work in the future.
The fund addresses equity gaps in arts and culture, basic needs, economic opportunity, education, environment, health and wellness, neighborhoods and communities, and recreation. Supported work includes workforce preparation for historically disadvantaged youth, tuition-free music instruction and tutoring, summer academic enrichment, dementia caregiver support, professional development for women of color, STEM and college preparation, and kindergarten readiness with affordable childcare.
