Stryker Medical’s Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS) Program supports physician and nurse investigators conducting original clinical research using products from its Acute Care, Emergency Care Transport, and Sage portfolios. The program offers funding and/or product support for independently conducted studies in mutually beneficial therapeutic areas. It is intended for qualified clinical investigators who take responsibility for planning, designing, sponsoring, executing, and publishing their own research.
The program’s interests center on patient care, infection prevention, and injury prevention. Current priorities include pressure injury and surgical site infection prevention, comprehensive oral care, early patient mobility, safe patient handling, hospital-acquired infections, urine management, and targeted temperature management. Stryker’s Clinical Affairs team oversees formal proposal review and communicates support decisions.
