Description
The Virginia Water Resources Research Center runs this annual competitive program with support from the U.S. Geological Survey under Section 104(b) of the Water Resources Research Act. It funds student-led research across water resources science, policy, management, and engineering. Projects may examine topics such as water quality and supply, watershed management, aquatic ecosystems, infrastructure, or emerging contaminants.
The program considers research in all areas of water resources. Proposals are reviewed for intellectual merit, innovation, likelihood of success, broader impacts on Virginians, and alignment with state or regional water resources challenges.
