The Student Entrepreneur Grant Scheme (SEGS) provides small grants to students and recent graduates pursuing innovative products or solutions and an entrepreneurial career. EIT Urban Mobility administers and pays the grants through cascade funding under its European Commission-funded Business Plan 2026–2028. The scheme helps teams validate ideas, incorporate a business, and achieve their first sales.
Projects must align with EIT Urban Mobility’s strategic objective “Close the knowledge gap.” Topics should address public transport, health and mobility, electrification of transport and alternative fuels, urban logistics, or mobility data management. The scheme aims to help participants turn their projects into new startup ventures, potentially supported through other EIT Urban Mobility programmes.
