Key Information: Applicants must be current SSSS Student Members and present their research at the following year's Annual Conference.
The Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality (SSSS) offers separate graduate and undergraduate Student Research Grants to support the design and conduct of original research projects. The program reflects the Society’s commitment to developing emerging scholars in sex science. Graduate projects may include a master’s thesis or doctoral dissertation, but neither is required.
The grants fund research rather than conference travel, with separate support provided for recipients to present their projects at the following year’s SSSS Annual Conference. Review priorities include significance, novelty, innovation, clearly justified research questions or hypotheses, appropriate methodology, and the necessity of funding. Proposals are also evaluated on how they acknowledge, include, value, or amplify diverse voices and strengths in sex science.
