Description
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Student Traineeship Award introduces students to research through participation in a mission-relevant, hypothesis-driven project related to cystic fibrosis (CF). Students work on-site with a faculty mentor at the institution receiving the award. The program aims to develop and maintain interest in careers in CF research or as CF care providers; previous research experience is not required.
Support may cover the student’s stipend, research costs, or both. Projects must test a clear hypothesis. Applicants are encouraged to align their proposals with the Foundation’s research priorities and its Cure, Care, and Community strategic plan. Funding priority goes to projects advancing prevention or treatment strategies, or understanding of disease mechanisms and pathophysiology.
