    Description

The Society for Industrial Archeology (SIA) offers Student Travel Scholarships to help full-time students and professionals with fewer than three years of full-time experience participate in its events. The stipends offset practical attendance expenses, including airfare, hotel accommodation, and registration. This support is for event participation rather than a separate research or preservation project.

The SIA Student Scholarship Committee promotes applications and selects scholarship recipients. The program supports attendance and participation in annual conferences and paper sessions, with applicants demonstrating an interest in and commitment to industrial archeology or a related field. SIA’s broader work focuses on the study, interpretation, and preservation of the physical remains of industry and engineering.
