The Studio Workspace Residency at Women's Studio Workshop (WSW) offers artists the opportunity to immerse themselves in a supportive environment to create new work. The residency provides uninterrupted time, free housing, and access to professional studios in intaglio, letterpress, papermaking, screenprinting, or darkroom photography. Residents are expected to work independently but receive a thorough studio orientation, and technical assistance can be arranged for an additional fee. This residency is fully subsidized, meaning there is no cost for housing or studio space, but artists are responsible for their own travel, materials, meals, and personal expenses.
