Description
The American Musicological Society (AMS) administers the Study Group Activities Fund to help its study groups carry out events, activities, and programs. The fund supplements other financial support for study group-specific work rather than serving as the sole funding source. Awards are made through summer and winter cycles.
Support can cover speaker fees, venue costs, travel, lodging, supplies, and direct program expenses, including audiovisual services, equipment, and catering. Requests that do not clearly fit these expense categories are considered by the Committee on a case-by-case basis. The program is available to AMS study groups through their elected representatives, not to individual AMS members applying independently.
