    Description

The Experimental Psychology Society (EPS) supports postgraduate and postdoctoral study visits in experimental psychology, within the scope of The Quarterly Journal of Experimental Psychology. Grants finance travel and accommodation at an institution outside the applicant’s academic base. Visits can provide first-hand experience of experimental procedures, enable data collection unavailable at home, or support the design of studies requiring input from the host laboratory.

The scheme is intended to complement research training and experience already acquired, rather than support activities integral to an existing PhD or funded project. Applicants should explain the distinctive benefit of the visit and why the relevant training or facilities cannot be accessed at their home institution. The EPS Committee allocates awards, prioritising strong links with the Society’s membership and remit.
