The Steuben County Community Foundation (SCCF) offers Substance Abuse & Recovery Grants to support nonprofits, healthcare providers, and government agencies working to improve quality of life in Steuben County. Made possible by donors interested in particular fields of community need, the program supports substance abuse and recovery projects as part of the foundation’s goal of creating “brighter tomorrows.”
SCCF gives special consideration to collaborative projects and work that considers and attempts to address root causes. Projects should align with the applicant’s mission and strategic plan and have documented board support. The foundation emphasizes responses to local needs and long-term solutions rather than duplication of existing services without collaboration. Volunteer committees review applications and make recommendations; SCCF’s Board of Directors makes final grant decisions.
