Description
The South Carolina Arts Commission supports arts education projects delivered between school years by arts organizations and other community providers. Projects serve preschool (3K–4K) and/or K–12 students, expanding access to arts learning while complementing, augmenting, or advancing standards-based arts instruction or arts integration aligned with school curriculum.
Supported work can include workshops, camps, artist residencies, public art projects, performances, exhibitions, and professional learning. Projects must include substantial instruction or experiences in visual, performing, media, design, folk and traditional arts, or creative writing. The commission prioritizes work serving its Opportunity Initiative counties, partnerships that advance educational goals through the arts, and programs serving students in rural or high-poverty areas.
