Description
Women's Studio Workshop's Summer Assistantship immerses emerging artists and arts workers in the dynamic environment of the Summer Art Institute (SAI), a seasonal program focused on printmaking, papermaking, and book arts. Assistants collaborate closely with SAI instructors, students, and WSW staff, supporting the smooth operation of workshops and the ongoing functionality of WSW's studios. The position offers the opportunity to assist with and participate in up to seven workshops, interact with renowned teaching artists, and develop technical skills across multiple artistic mediums. This is a concentrated, full-time summer position (June–August 2027), distinct from WSW's year-round internships, and is designed for those seeking practical experience in a vibrant, community-oriented studio setting.
