Description
The Summer at the Library Grant is administered by the Texas Library Association (TLA) and funded through donations from the Summer at the Library H-E-B check stand campaign. It supports all types of Texas libraries providing summer programming, helping them create engaging reading experiences, offer learning opportunities, and reach more community members.
The program aims to foster summer literacy and learning, support innovative events, increase access to books and digital resources, and strengthen community partnerships. Funding can support reading materials, programming, staff and volunteer training, technology, marketing, outreach, and other initiatives that enhance summer reading. The application cycle has moved to the fall to give libraries more time to plan, purchase materials, schedule presenters, and promote summer programs.
