Description
The Columbus Foundation’s Summer Fellowship Program builds nonprofit organizational capacity by pairing selected Franklin County host organizations with students interested in nonprofit careers. During a 10-week placement, Fellows undertake career-related work on a specific project or program while gaining experience through immersion in the organization. Projects should engage Fellows with the nonprofit’s mission and have clear scope, direction, and achievable outcomes.
Host organizations receive grants covering Fellow stipends and associated administrative costs. Fellows work full-time and are matched with organizations according to their interests, skills, and the hosts’ needs or objectives. Placements may be in person or virtual. Alongside their work, Fellows participate in nonprofit learning sessions, helping connect practical experience with professional development and encouraging the next generation of nonprofit leaders.
