Description
The Summer Motorized Trail Pass Grant Program funds development, renovation, and maintenance of motorized trails on Montana public lands. Eligible work includes trail markers and signage, maintenance, improvements, reroutes, mitigation of motorized-use impacts, brushing and delimbing, noxious weed control along trail corridors, and club-hired trail stewards who clear and maintain routes.
Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks administers the program through Montana State Parks, using funds appropriated from sales of the resident summer OHV trail pass. The Off-Highway Vehicle Advisory Committee reviews projects and recommends how funding should be distributed across the state.
