The Summer Program in Social Science, hosted by the School of Social Science at the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS), is an interdisciplinary initiative aimed at early-career scholars from Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America. Conducted in partnership with the Wits Institute for Social and Economic Research (WISER) at the University of the Witwatersrand (South Africa) and the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, the program brings together approximately twenty scholars for a multi-year cycle of collaborative research, workshops, and scholarly exchange.

Workshops are held in English (Princeton and Johannesburg) and Spanish (Bogotá), and the program covers all travel, accommodation, and meal expenses for participants. Research themes are open across all social science disciplines and neighboring fields.
