Description
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Enforcement Division’s Boat and Water Safety Program administers this grant to help county sheriffs’ offices carry out boating safety duties. Its goal is to reduce deaths, injuries, and property damage on state waters.
Funding supports boats, motors, and trailers used for patrol, search and rescue, or work on aids to navigation. It also supports buoys, signs, lights, and other navigation aids, as well as equipment, supplies, and materials for boating safety enforcement, search and rescue, outreach, and navigation support.
