Description
Dean of Faculty (DoF) Supplemental Funding supports Williams College faculty with expenses associated with scholarship, creative endeavors, and professional development opportunities. Administered through the Dean of Faculty’s Office, this support is available when endowed funds are available and other funding avenues have been used or are otherwise committed.
The program covers travel for conferences, invited talks or exhibitions, field sites, and archives, as well as materials used in scholarly and creative work. Copyright and publication expenses, software, and datasets are also supported. It is supplementary funding for faculty professional activities rather than a source for equipment, teaching materials, campus guest fees, or student conference travel.
