Description
This Horizon Europe Coordination and Support Action (CSA) funds the preparation and delivery of the 2030 Transport Research Arena (TRA) conference, the largest European research and technology event on transport and mobility. The grant aims to ensure a successful, inclusive, and high-impact TRA 2030 conference by supporting comprehensive planning, logistics, stakeholder engagement, awards, and dissemination activities. The action is intended to enhance the visibility and strategic relevance of EU transport research, foster collaboration among stakeholders, and promote excellence and career development in the field.
Activities covered include:
- Planning and organising the TRA 2030 conference with broad participation (students, young researchers, women, under-represented groups, and diverse country representation)
- Collaborating with TRA committees, European Commission services, technology platforms, and previous conference organisers
- Selecting the venue, managing logistics, and supporting IT tools for conference management
- Organising demonstration activities, technical visits, and monitoring environmental impact
- Delivering and promoting the TRA VISIONS awards for outstanding achievements in transport research and innovation (for both students/young researchers and senior researchers)
- Facilitating media coverage, dissemination, and impact tracking before, during, and after the event
The project is expected to result in a high-profile, well-attended conference, increased recognition of transport research achievements, and strengthened links between research, industry, and policy.
