This grant from the Research Council of Norway provides support for organizing conferences, workshops, and seminars in Norway. The aim is to create open meeting places for the dissemination of research results, knowledge sharing, development of knowledge bases, and establishment of scientific collaborations. Events must be open to all interested participants and focus predominantly on research dissemination. The grant covers a broad range of thematic areas, including democracy and global development, energy and transportation, health, innovation, climate and the environment, food and bioresources, enabling technologies, and cross-cutting topics.
Events must be organized in Norway, and the main organizer must apply. For international conferences, the Norwegian applicant must be the main organizer. Only one application per event is allowed, and each application must target a single thematic area. The application should include a preliminary program and be submitted at least six weeks before the event starts. The project period cannot start before submission and must end no later than one month after the event.
