Support for Events supports organisers of research conferences, workshops and seminars to share findings, build knowledge and foster scientific collaboration among researchers and wider stakeholders.

Funding Amounts: NOK 50,000–150,000 generally; thematic limits up to NOK 200,000; project duration 1–12 months

Description
The Research Council of Norway supports physical and digital conferences, workshops and seminars that provide meeting places for research dissemination, knowledge sharing, development of a knowledge base and scientific collaboration. Research and research results must form the main part of the programme. Funding covers documented costs necessary to plan and deliver the event, and organisers are encouraged to reduce its environmental impact.
The call spans international relations and global development, maritime research, research infrastructure, civil-military cooperation, business innovation, food and bioresources, and enabling technologies. Depending on the topic, events may connect researchers with businesses, public-sector actors, civil society and users, develop ideas for research and innovation projects, or promote use of research findings and international infrastructure. Applicants must demonstrate fit with one thematic topic and its specific requirements.
