Description
The Support for Faculty Scholars Award (SFSA) at Western Michigan University is an internal funding program designed to advance the university’s research mission by supporting faculty research and creative activities. The award is intended for projects that may not necessarily lead to external funding but have the potential to enhance and sustain the scholarly reputation of both WMU and the faculty principal investigator. The SFSA is particularly suitable for faculty in the early stages of new research or creative projects, those entering new areas of inquiry, or for the dissemination and professional collaboration associated with original scholarship.
The program is administered by the Research Policies Council, which oversees application, review, and reporting processes to ensure funded projects make significant and original contributions to their disciplines.
