Description
This grant, under the LIFE Clean Energy Transition sub-programme, aims to accelerate the clean energy transition and decarbonisation of European industry and businesses. It supports collaborative approaches to bridge the gap between demand and supply of net-zero energy technologies and to foster cooperation among companies operating in physical proximity, such as industrial clusters or parks. The initiative is aligned with the European Green Deal, Fit-for-55 package, REPowerEU Plan, and the Net-Zero Industry Act.
Applicants must address one of two scopes:
- Scope A: Collaboration between industrial sectors and technology providers for the optimisation and deployment of clean energy technologies (market-ready solutions only; demonstration activities are not eligible).
- Scope B: Energy cooperation among industries in proximity to foster clean, affordable, and sustainable energy use (e.g., shared renewable assets, energy exchanges, industrial symbiosis).
Eligible activities include developing and validating business models, establishing cooperation initiatives, identifying investment pipelines, and overcoming organisational, legal, and social barriers. The grant encourages the replication of successful approaches and broad dissemination of results.
