Description
The Community Foundation for Monterey County (CFMC) established the Supporting Our Neighbors Fund to help nonprofit organizations assist individuals and families facing urgent needs due to immigration and policy-related concerns. Support includes community outreach, legal assistance, education about immigrant and LGBTQ+ rights, basic needs, food security, and access to mental and physical health services.
The fund supports specific activities in Monterey County, including Know Your Rights training, family safety planning, connections to community resources, provider mental wellness, rapid response services, and rights-related policy advocacy. It also supports immediate food relief for people affected by discontinued or delayed Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and other food assistance benefits. Guidelines may change as community needs arise.
