The Arts Fund for Region One provides financial support to enhance arts education and experiences for students residing in the six towns of Connecticut's Northwest Corner (Canaan/Falls Village, Cornwall, Kent, North Canaan, Salisbury, and Sharon). Established in 1992, the fund collaborates with local schools and private donors to offer project grants for group initiatives, individual scholarships for arts study (including the Susan Fillman Memorial Scholarship), and community arts events. The aim is to expand access to the arts beyond standard school offerings, fostering artistic development and community connections.
