--- ## Description This grant supports research and innovation in additive manufacturing and circular design for aircraft, with a focus on high-performance polymers, composites, and metals. The goal is to achieve significant improvements over current technologies to advance climate-neutral aviation. Projects should address challenges in additive design and manufacturing of structural components, such as residual stresses, phase transformations, joining, defects, and reproducibility. Proposals are expected to target real-world industrial use cases, including circular design, joining technologies, maintenance and repair advancements to extend aircraft lifetimes, and enhanced recovery of high-quality recycled materials.
