    Description

The Sustaining Leaders Initiative is designed to support nonprofit leaders of color in Kalamazoo County by providing individual grants that fund activities such as respite, wellness, executive coaching, and professional development. Recognizing the disproportionate responsibilities and challenges faced by leaders of color—especially women of color—in advancing racial equity and social justice, the initiative aims to address resource gaps and promote well-being and growth. The program is part of the Kalamazoo Community Foundation’s commitment to advancing racial, social, and economic justice in the local community.
