Description
Endowed by the estate of Sylvia Naish, these annual awards support research in any area of German language and literature at the Institute of Languages, Cultures and Societies (ILCS), University of London. The program offers one Fellowship (for postdoctoral researchers) and one Scholarship (for doctoral students in their second or third year), enabling recipients to spend a minimum of one month in London. The awards contribute toward living expenses and provide access to extensive library resources, shared office space, and participation in the Institute’s academic life, including presenting research and contributing to seminars or conferences. Recipients are expected to acknowledge the Institute in resulting publications and submit a report at the end of their tenure.
