--- ## Description The Systems Group Scholarship is offered by the Ohio Valley Member Chapter of the Association for Iron and Steel Technology (AIST) Foundation. This scholarship is part of AIST’s regional, chapter-based scholarship program, which aims to encourage and support students who have a connection to the Ohio Valley region and are pursuing interests related to the iron and steel industry. The scholarship is awarded annually to a qualified student, with a focus on fostering the next generation of professionals in STEM fields relevant to steel manufacturing and management. --- ## Due Dates - April 30, 2026: Completed application due --- ## Funding Amount - One scholarship of $2,500 is awarded annually. - The award is for one academic year. - Recipients are encouraged to re-apply each year, but may only win one scholarship per year from this program. --- ## Eligibility - The applicant must be the child (including step-children, adopted children, or wards) of a member in good standing of the AIST Ohio Valley Member Chapter, **or** an AIST Student Member in good standing. - Applicants must be accepted into, planning to attend, or currently enrolled in a full-time curriculum at an accredited university, college, or technical training center in the Ohio Valley chapter area. - The field of study must be directly related to the production, support, or management of iron and steel manufacturing and distribution. - STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Bachelor of Science degrees are preferred. - Bachelor of Arts candidates in related fields (such as general manufacturing management) and students seeking an Associate of Science in a STEM-related technology are also eligible. - Scholarships are awarded without regard to gender, race, ethnicity, or financial need. --- ## Application Process - Submit a completed application form by April 30, 2026.
