Description
The Tourette Association of America (TAA) supports early-career researchers working to increase biological understanding of Tourette Syndrome (TS), improve patient care through clinical research, and develop and test new therapies. The Young Investigator Award combines an independent research project with a career development component, encouraging investigators to devote their expertise to the TS field while advancing their research careers.
The program assesses both scientific merit and career development. Projects are reviewed for their relevance to TS, methodology, investigator experience, available facilities and support, and feasibility within the proposed timeframe. Career development review considers the candidate’s qualifications, objectives, how the award will advance those objectives, and the mentor or mentorship team’s role and commitment.
