Description
Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation administers two funds that jointly review applications to enrich the educational experience of students and teachers in the Taconic Hills Central School District. The Education Enrichment Fund has supported a broad range of educational projects since 2001, aiming for every student to benefit from at least one funded opportunity during their time at Taconic Hills. The Arts & Humanities Fund began funding programs in 2008 and focuses exclusively on arts and humanities.
Supported activities include independent study, new programs, extracurricular activities, individual creative projects, visiting speakers, artists in residence, teacher professional development and field-trip program costs. New projects are encouraged, and enhanced or enriched repeat projects are also eligible. The Arts & Humanities Fund favors interdisciplinary projects with the potential to become ongoing programs.
