    Description

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Tactical Technology Office (TTO) seeks executive summaries and full proposals for revolutionary research, platforms, and systems that provide technological surprise and new options for national security. The office is particularly interested in hardware-focused, high-impact projects that can be manufactured responsively and affordably, and that address one or more of the following focus areas:

    • Design/Build/Buy: Innovative design, manufacturing, and testing approaches to accelerate the development and deployment of new defense systems.
    • Surge and Sustain: Technologies for rapid, large-scale production and replenishment of military systems, including adaptive manufacturing and supply chain resilience.
    • Long Range Effects: Systems that enable decisive military effects at tactical and strategic distances, especially in contested environments.
    • Disruptive Innovation: Novel technologies and systems that fundamentally change battlefield dynamics.

Proposed research should aim for revolutionary, not incremental, advances. Both U.S. and non-U.S. organizations are eligible, provided they comply with applicable laws and regulations.
