Description
The Tennessee Agricultural Enhancement Program (TAEP) Best Management Practices Cost Share provides financial incentives to timber harvesting and wood-using industries in Tennessee to implement environmentally responsible practices during timber harvesting operations. The program aims to minimize negative environmental and water quality impacts through the adoption of best management practices (BMPs) such as wood pallet mats, skidder bridges, stream-crossing grids, geotextile fabric, and erosion control measures. By supporting these sustainable forestry practices, the program helps protect soil, water resources, and wildlife habitat, promoting long-term forest health and productivity across the state.
