Description
The Visiting Professorships program, offered by the Association for Academic Surgery (AAS), is designed to promote the exchange of clinical, scientific, and policy knowledge in surgery between AAS members and international surgical societies. Awardees receive support to travel and present at the annual meetings of global partner organizations, such as the Taiwan Surgical Association, West African College of Surgeons, Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, and Colombian Surgical Association. In addition to representing the AAS abroad, recipients typically host the counterpart visiting professor at the Academic Surgical Congress in the United States.
