Description
The Novo Nordisk Foundation’s Tandem Programme supports Danish translational health research of high international quality through collaboration between one basic scientist and one clinical scientist. Projects must be clinically relevant, cross-disciplinary, and translational, connecting basic research with patient-centred research and current clinical practice. The programme aims to improve patient treatment or diagnosis, or deepen understanding of the mechanisms underlying disease.
The programme covers bioscience and basic biomedicine alongside clinical and translational medicine. Both researchers are expected to participate equally and share responsibility for the project, with their collaboration and distribution of work clearly reflected in the proposal and budget. Either researcher may serve as the main applicant. Applications are assessed by the Foundation’s Committee on Clinical and Translational Medicine.
