Description
The Utah Department of Workforce Services offers this Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) grant to help organizations expand, integrate, or develop programs that assist low-income, at-risk families in moving out of poverty. Proposals must focus on either financial capability and asset building or youth development.
Financial capability programs must support TANF Purpose 4—encouraging the formation or maintenance of two-parent families—with activities aimed at increased income, assets, or financial stability. Youth development programs must support TANF Purpose 3—preventing and reducing out-of-wedlock pregnancies—through increased protective factors or decreased risk factors. Applicants must show how research supports their program design and its connection to the selected purpose.
