Description
The Texas Parks & Wildlife Department’s Target Range Grant Program funds the planning, development, and construction of firearm, archery, and air gun ranges that provide recreational access to the general public. Projects may create new facilities or enhance existing ranges.
The program has two phases. Phase I planning may cover plans and specifications, environmental and cultural permits, and other professional services associated with features proposed for public use. Phase II supports activities necessary to build or improve a range, but is available only to projects that complete all Phase I activities. Planning awards depend on funding availability, competitiveness, and the recreational access a project provides to the general public.
