Description
The Simons Foundation’s Mathematics and Physical Sciences (MPS) division offers this program to provide targeted support for established institutes or centers in mathematics and theoretical basic physical sciences. The aim is to strengthen connections within the international scientific community and enable institutes to extend and enhance their missions. Funding is flexible and may be used for visiting scholars, postdocs, graduate students, travel, conferences, workshops, summer schools, and administrative expenses related to institute activities. The program does not fund the primary operating costs or establishment of new institutes, nor does it support organizations without a physical space.
