MassDevelopment’s TDI Equity Investment Program is a real estate-specific tool within its Transformative Development Initiative (TDI). It provides equity-like investments for near-term projects that transform commercial properties in and around TDI districts, particularly by bringing vacant or underused ground-floor and commercial space back into use. The program is intended to help promising projects move forward when other funding sources are insufficient.
Projects are expected to contribute to district revitalization and have a significant local economic impact. Priorities include building market demand, advancing TDI district goals and state and agency priorities, engaging local communities, and strengthening the capacity of community partners. The program is offered through the Commonwealth’s Community One Stop for Growth.
