Description
Earthwatch’s Teach Earth Fellowship is a professional development experience for K–12 teachers of any subject. Fellows join other educators and environmental scientists on research expeditions, where they learn field protocols, collect data, and see how that data contributes to scientific questions. PhD-level scientists design the projects and train teachers in data collection.
Fellows also work together to develop lessons that bring firsthand research into their classrooms. A Teach Earth Lead Fellow runs workshops to help the team translate its field experience for students and school communities. The program aims to strengthen science and environmental education and inspire students to explore the natural world.
