Description
The Winston-Salem Foundation offers three separate Teacher Grant programs supporting professional development for teaching staff in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools, Mount Airy City Schools, and Wilkes County Schools. Supported by donors committed to educators’ continued development, these competitive grants aim to improve students’ classroom experiences.
Forsyth County Teacher Grants support innovative, results-oriented educational opportunities that strengthen educators’ impact on students and enrich classroom subject matter. Activities may include innovative classroom experiences, educational travel incorporated into the curriculum, conferences, workshops, seminars, and other professional growth opportunities. The Mount Airy program, funded through the Zach Smith Fund, serves educators and administrators employed by Mount Airy City Schools or Millennium Charter Academy, with funding accessed through school administrators.
